Meditators can deepen their practice while contributing to meditation science. The GoDeeper research app provides brain-based coaching based on type of meditation, level of expertise, and what went on during your session. The brain-based coaching is built upon a database of results from hundreds of meditation studies and an IMBR assembled a team of meditation teachers who translated brainwave data into meditation tips.
The Institute for Meditation Brainwave Research is inviting 1000+ meditators with a regular practice to donate 10+ sessions to meditation science. Meditators from 30+ traditions can contribute from home using a MUSE headset and IMBR’s research app GoDeeper. All data will be tagged by style of meditation, level of expertise and phone taps to indicate “emerging from depth” or “recovering from distraction”. If you contribute ten meditation sessions per month to meditation science, you will get another month free for up to six months. Apply at www.IMBR.org.
We expect to collect 10+ million seconds of data and decompose the raw EEG into 1000+ brain features and then use machine learning to build neurofeedback protocols for different styles and levels of practice. These will empower meditators around the world to go deeper, faster with fewer wrong turns. We like to call it "GPS for meditation".
