À propos de l'application

A hive notebook gets wet, gets lost, or stays in the shed. Your phone is already in your pocket, and it is the one thing you carry to the apiary every time.

Hivesmith is a beekeeping record that keeps itself. Add your hives, record an inspection in the time it takes to put the roof back on, and let the app hold the season for you.

WHAT YOU RECORD

· Every hive, with its site, material and frame count
· Inspections: date, queen seen, brood pattern, temper, stores, varroa count, feeding, supers, treatments, harvest
· Photographs, straight from the camera or your gallery
· Notes in your own words

WHAT IT DOES WITH IT

· Each hive shows what needs attention next: low stores, no queen, queen cells, swarm risk, varroa over the threshold, a treatment still running, or a hive that has gone too long without a look
· A season view that adds up inspections, peak varroa, harvest and treatments across the apiary
· A history for every hive, and a record of the queens that have been through it

FREE, AND IT STAYS FREE

Hives, inspections, photographs, queens and reminders cost nothing and are not capped. No hive limit, no countdown, no advertising, no account, and no nagging. The app is free to use for as long as you keep bees.

PRO — THE RECORD BOOK

Pro is the paperwork you hand to somebody else:

· A season report as a PDF, for the association, the inspector or your own file
· Every inspection as a spreadsheet you can open anywhere
· Season against season, so you can see what changed
· Backup and restore, so a new phone does not lose the record
· The other three looks for the app

Pro is a subscription with a free week to start, and you can cancel any time. Nothing you have already recorded is held back: your records stay yours whether or not Pro is active.

NOTHING LEAVES THE PHONE

Hivesmith has no account, no sign-in and no cloud. It asks for no runtime permission at all, it cannot reach the network, and there is no analytics and no advertising identifier. Your apiary stays on your phone. If you want a copy somewhere else, you export it that is your decision and your file.

BUILT FOR THE APIARY

· Works with no signal, in a field, in the rain
· Eight languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish and Portuguese
· Metric or imperial, whichever you think in, with the records stored the same way either way
· Dark by default, so it does not blind you at dusk

WHO IT IS FOR

Anyone with a hive on an allotment, a few in a garden, or a hundred in a field. If you keep notes on paper, in a spreadsheet, or in your head, this is the same thing with the arithmetic done for you.

Beekeeping decisions are yours. Hivesmith keeps the record.
