Scriptly is a Bible for reading, hearing, and thinking in.

Read it in your own language, hear it read aloud, and keep what you think beside the verse that prompted it.

READ
• Several translations, in English, Chinese, Korean and Spanish.
• Text that flows to your screen, at whatever size reads easily.
• Or a real page — ruled, squared, dotted or blank — with a margin wide enough to think in.

LISTEN
• Any chapter read aloud, in any of the four languages.
• Choose who reads it: most languages have several recordings, plain or dramatized.
• It keeps playing while you read on, or with the screen locked.

GO DEEPER
• Ask for a passage in your own words — "where does Jesus talk about worry" finds it.
• Tap a word to see the Greek or Hebrew behind it, with its lexicon entry.
• See everywhere else that word appears, and open any of those verses in place.
• Study notes on the history, the customs, the turn of phrase the first readers would have caught.

• And a page to answer them on, if you want one.

KEEP WHAT YOU THINK
• Highlight a verse, or type a note against it.
• Or write in the margin by hand — pen, highlighter and eraser, in your own colours.
• Scribble out to erase: draw back and forth over a stroke, and only what you cross goes.

YOURS, AND PRIVATE
• No account, no sign-in, no ads.
• Your notes live on your device, and we have no server that could hold them.
• Anonymous counts of chapters opened — never the text, never your handwriting, never who you are — feed the "Around the world" screen, and can be turned off in Settings.

On a phone and on a tablet. A pen is a pleasure, not a requirement.
