Academia da Força – Strength Training for Youth, Backed by Science and Purpose Welcome to Force Academy, the first Portuguese fitness app entirely dedicated to structured strength training for children and teenagers — grounded in science, guided by pedagogy, and driven by a clear mission: to raise stronger, more confident, and more capable young people. Created by Gonçalo Castanha, a personal trainer, researcher, and PhD candidate in Physical Activity and Health with over 15 years of experience, this platform is here to transform how families, schools, and clubs approach youth fitness and development. For too long, strength training has been postponed to adulthood due to myths and outdated fears. Today, science is clear: well-guided training is safe, effective, and essential for healthy growth, motor literacy, and injury prevention. Force Academy brings this knowledge into practice — with scientific rigour, personal guidance, and real impact.
