Tabsy is a bill-splitter that keeps every record on your phone — no account to create, no server it talks to, no ads, no tracking.
Add a split in seconds. Type the amount, tap who was there, done. Split equally, by exact amounts, by percentage, or by shares — Tabsy shows the live breakdown as you go, so you always know what everyone owes before you save.
Groups are optional. Use one for a trip or a shared flat where the same people split things again and again, or skip it entirely for a one-off split with whoever's around.
Settle up in the fewest payments possible. Tabsy collapses a tangle of who-owes-whom into the smallest number of transfers, with an optional UPI hand-off — Tabsy never touches your money, it just opens your payment app with the amount already filled in.
Categories, receipts, and recurring expenses — all entirely optional. Tag an expense with a category if you want one; leave it blank and Tabsy still picks a sensible icon from the title. Attach a receipt photo, stored only on your device. Mark rent or a subscription as recurring, and Tabsy reminds you when the next one's due — you decide when it's actually added, nothing happens on its own in the background.
Share without the app. Every summary, reminder, and receipt is plain text — readable in WhatsApp, SMS, or anywhere else, so the person on the other end never needs to install anything.
Your data is a file you own. Export everything to a single JSON file whenever you like, and import it back — validated before anything is written, with a clear choice between merging and replacing.
Why no account? Because a shared expense between friends shouldn't require handing your phone number and a password to a server neither of you chose. Tabsy has no INTERNET permission at all — not "we promise not to use it," but the permission itself isn't in the app.
Split bills with friends. No account, no ads, no cloud — just your phone.
