The MindfulNest app is designed to guide children through activities that help them calm and control their emotions. Handheld devices enable the children to interact with the app. For example students can try guided breathing with a flower that lights up when they breathe. Other example activities include jumping jacks or conducting music.

Many features of this app require specialized equipment provided to classrooms as part of a research study. Other individuals may choose to use the app as is, with limited utility.
