barValid is the professional GS1 barcode scanner for logistics, industry, production and quality assurance.

Scan, break down every Application Identifier, check it against your own target structure and document the result as a PDF report — all on your phone, no desktop software needed.

SCANNING
• GS1-128 / EAN-128 / UCC-128, GS1 DataMatrix, GS1 QR Code
• Plus EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, Code 39, Code 128, ITF and more
• Automatic or manual capture, audio feedback on detection
• Show symbology identifier (AIM prefix) and FNC1 separators

GS1 DECODING
• Every Application Identifier broken out individually: value, meaning, data type, length, unit
• Correct handling of date formats and floating-point measures
• Built-in, searchable GS1 AI database with version stamp

VERIFY, DON'T JUST READ
• Build your own code structures: which AIs are required, optional or forbidden
• Alternative groups for "either A or B"
• Content checks with operators: equals, greater, less, contains
• Date rules, e.g. "expiry at least 30 days in the future"
• A clear error instead of a silent misread

PDF REPORTS
• Auditable report of the check result for QA, audits and complaints
• Camera image of the code plus up to two additional photos
• Operator name, timestamp, code structure used, notes field
• Print or share directly

barValid SATELLITE
• Send scanned barcodes straight to your PC — into Excel, Word, your ERP or any input field
• No cable, no Bluetooth pairing: transfer runs through your barValid account

NON-GS1 CONTENT TOO
Web links, vCard contacts, WiFi credentials, email, phone, SMS, calendar events, geo coordinates and ISBN are recognised and offered with the matching action.

PRIVACY
