HOW IT WORKS:
The rear camera reads tiny color changes in your fingertip caused by each pulse while the flash provides steady light. A calibration window lets the signal stabilize, then the app finds the steady rhythm of your pulse over 30 seconds and reports a BPM estimate. If the signal is too noisy it asks you to try again instead of guessing. Hold still, keep your finger gently over both the lens and flash, and breathe normally.
