This app, and the people behind it, are excellent. But I'm deleting it, for 2 reasons: the only Pro feature I need is no ads, but that's not an option; its unusual, annoying login process: instead of e-mail/password, it's e-mail/one-time code e-mailed to you. Since I can't always access my e-mail, I can't always use the app. I've asked for a one-time 'ad-free' fee, and plan to ask for alternate methods of receiving your code, e.g., text or phone call. I'll reinstall if these changes are made.

I was charged $200 for an annual subscription without receiving any billing notification or invoice. Because I was never notified, I had no way of knowing the charge occurred and could not act within their 72-hour refund window. What made this worse is that I previously received an email indicating that I needed to “add a payment method,” which gave the clear impression that my card was not on file and that no charge would occur. Despite this, I was still billed. Customer support repeatedly cite

without wrenching the settings at all, it's giving me impressive answers to my questions and their numerous follow-ups. For the occasional 'wow" moment I don't expect, I'll really dig into the follow ups. So far, I'm not bogged down by excess verbosity simply because I stipulated numerous cases or because I was too vague. With subscriptions to ChatGPT and Grok, I'm strongly considering Perplexity again. Impressive, but I'm still wondering what it's really best at.
