Chemistry By Design is an interactive virtual flashcard application that allows students to test their skills using known synthetic sequences. The goal is to display the reagents, starting materials and products for every single step used in constructing a natural product or pharmaceutical.

A continuously growing database, currently featuring hundreds of syntheses of natural products and pharmaceuticals, is now available for browsing and testing your organic chemistry skills. You can choose to start your browsing by selecting from various lists or using the search box.

'Chemistry by design' is definitely a must-have app for those who are interested into both total synthesis and reaction design. The app is superp and very straightforward to use, but it has just a minuscule problem. If you don't use it for a short period of time or if you decide to open another app, you certainly will loss the progress you've made, i.e., the reaction you were checking.

Excellent app!! One thing could be still be improved: when the app goes in a background mode, the on going synthesis is lost and you are back on the starting page. If it was possible to get back where you left that would be fantastic! Thanks for the wonderful work!

Brilliant app and vast list of interesting reactions. Truly amazing app. I just have one suggestion, if we could open the reaction in vertical view..... It would be great
