Unlike other parking apps, with AirGarage there's no more guessing on how long you'll need to be parked and either 1) overpaying, or 2) running out of time and getting a parking ticket.

Ratings and reviews

The app works well until it doesn't. I used to keep our credit card saved in the app, but then discovered that we would be randomly charged when not parked in the lot. So I deleted our card,would add it when we parked in the lot, and then delete it again. Then tonight our unsaved card was charged while not parked in the lot. It's suspicious and feels like a scam. I'll be reporting the fraudulent charge to our credit card provider.

My friends and I were trying to park in downtown Chicago, and the lot we parked in was marked as "5.50" so we assumed it was 5.50 per hour. When I tried to click into the parking lot information in the app, it only said "$30 flat fee" and gave no other info. I was trying to click around in the listing to understand why it was giving different payment amounts and it just charged me 30. I won't be using this app again.

App crashes sometimes, you can't edit existing payment methods, sometimes your rental doesn't begin when you start it, and they'll charge you hidden fees on your card that you won't find on the payment history on the app. Poor user transparency. I used this on and off for a year. Won't make the same mistake again.
