About this app

Ballistics Buddy is an application designed to calculate the scope's Elevation and Windage adjustments for long range shooting. It works by calculating the bullet trajectory relative to the scope's line of sight, where the trajectory is influenced by gravity, the aerodynamic drag, the wind, your specific rifle setup, air density (temperature, pressure/altitude, and humidity), Gyroscopic spin drift, and the Coriolis force. The aim of this application is to be quick and easy to use in the field, while still being able to capture all of the significant factors which influence the bullet's trajectory.

Could be a good ballistics calculator. Entering and saving rifle setup is fine but in the second step after entering all the data it works well until you leave the screen. There is no way to save the data and then you have to re enter all the data. Every time??? Super time consuming and annoying. Even if you unintentionally go to another menu item. Ooops... Re-enter the data! Who wants to do that? Make a save function for the data in the second step and this app would be a usefull tool.

I'm not sure what to think yet. In my attempt to start getting the info set up yet, I thought I set preferences to inches, feet, etc. However, when I download elevation and barometer, the info shows metric. Not that great a deal even if only annoying. But when I try to convert them over, 283 meters elevation becomes 283 feet. Similar results with the barometric pressure. Other values also stay determined to utilize the metric system as well, in spite of my saved preferences...

Thanks for you feedback. I have now updated the app so that it uses your unit preference in the density calculation. Hopefully this makes It more user friendly.

Great app, easy to use at range or while hunting. One improvement is needed; the last rifle selected should be remembered by the app. Currently it reverts back to the first rifle in the app anytime something is changed. Does this even if rotating the phone to landscape.

Thanks for your feedback. I have now updated the app so that it remembers the last selected rifle. Also, I have now fixed the bug that changes the selected rifle when the orientation changes. Enjoy :)
