HOW BLOCKING WORKS
Usage Access lets Another Page notice when a chosen app opens, and Display over other apps lets it show the reading screen. Those permissions are used only for blocking on your device. Another Page does not use an Accessibility Service or read your screen. Some phones may offer an optional background setting for reliable blocking.

I was frustrated with the amount of time I spent on Reddit, YouTube, and Facebook. This app has you Read a couple of pages in a book that you choose before you open up an app. I set it up for the above three. who knows you may continue reading instead of going on to social media. The app is easy to use, allows you to set the font and background to what you want. I think this will help with my semi-addiction with the above apps. I'm impressed with it so far.

I like the UI and the collection of classic books already available! You can also add your own epub if you have a book that you need to reward yourself to get through. Currently, if you want to scroll multiple apps, it can feel frustrating to have to read for X minutes/pages to open each individual app, so set the amount of pages low to around 3 to 5.

It's a screentime management app and you can personalize the blocking rules per app or group of apps. I set mine so that I have to read at least 3 minutes of my own ebooks (paid) every time I can open social media. It has highlighting/annotation too! I also like that there's a lifetime paid version so you can pay once instead of subscribing. If this app ever adds text-to-speech features in the future, it might be the perfect digital reader app for me. But still, it's already a 5/5 for me.
