About this app

Tap the screen once for each breath you observe. The app calculates the rate in real time — no mental math, no fumbling with a stopwatch. A built-in timer ensures you count long enough for an accurate result, and every measurement is saved automatically so you can review your full history anytime.

WHY IT MATTERS

Dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, babies, and adults can all suffer from conditions that show up as changes in breathing rate — heart failure, asthma, lung disease, pain, fever, and more. Catching an upward trend early can make a real difference. Veterinary cardiologists routinely ask pet owners to monitor resting respiratory rate at home, and this app makes it effortless.

MULTIPLE PROFILES

Create a separate profile for each pet or family member — with a name, emoji, and type. Each profile has its own measurement history. One profile is free; additional profiles are available with Pro.

MEASUREMENT NOTES

Add a note to any measurement — "after a walk", "post-medication", "vet asked to recheck". Your notes are saved alongside the reading and included in exports.

TIMED HAPTIC ALERTS

A gentle vibration at 30 and 60 seconds lets you know how long you've been counting without taking your eyes off your pet.

AUTO-STOP

The measurement can stop itself: adaptively, a few moments after you stop tapping — or after a fixed 30 or 60 second window, the way vets usually instruct. A countdown ring shows the time remaining, and the phone vibrates when the measurement is done.

Your data is never locked in. Export your full measurement history as a CSV spreadsheet — free for everyone, no upgrade needed. Ratings and reviews

The best RRR tracker I've used by far. I especially love the tapping page experience. 2 suggestions: 1) It was very hard for me to find the ability to delete unwanted measurements. I assumed the 'delete' option would appear on long-hold alongside the "Edit note" UI. It took me over a week to accidentally discover that swiping left on a measurement reveals the delete option. 2) I would love to be able to see a chart of measurements over time (possibly with a customizable reporting period).

Very handy in the medical field - my only issue is that the haptic feedback doesn't work at the moment. Would also be helpful to be able to make it automatically stop at 60 seconds and have some bright/ colourful light go off - i often place the device in my peripheries and tap without looking so that I'm sure I'm counting each breath and have no idea when I've hit 30 or 60 seconds as the vibration doesn't work

My little old man (17 year old cat) just got diagnosed with congestive heart failure, and this is a great way to track his breathing. Thank you for this tool!
