CallSift stops spam and scam calls before your phone even rings — and it does it entirely on your device.

Most call blockers send every incoming number to a server to look it up. CallSift never does. There is no account, no cloud lookup, no analytics SDK, and no network permission in use. Your call history stays in a database on your own phone and is erased when you uninstall the app.

REAL CALLERS RING TWICE

The core idea is simple. A person with genuine business will call you back. A robocaller or an auto-dialer will not.

Callback Screening silently stops the first call from an unknown number. If the same number calls again within the grace period, it rings normally and is let through from then on. Legitimate callers get through on their second attempt. Automated spam campaigns never come back, so you never hear them.

You choose how strict it is:
- Off — every unknown number rings
- Silent mode — the first call is muted, but still appears in your call log
- Full reject — the first call is rejected outright

The number of calls to stop, the callback grace period, and how long a cleared number stays cleared are all adjustable.

HOME COUNTRY FILTERING

International scam traffic is the single largest source of unwanted calls in most countries. CallSift detects your SIM's country automatically and can reject calls that originate outside it. If you legitimately receive calls from abroad, register as many home countries as you need — numbers are normalized to E.164 so the match is exact, not a guess.

PREFIX RULES

Block or allow whole ranges instead of numbers one at a time. Enter a prefix starting with + for an international pattern, or plain digits for a domestic one. Matching is longest-prefix-wins, and when two rules are the same length, the blocking rule takes priority. Useful for shutting down an entire dialing range that a campaign is calling from.

ALLOW AND BLOCK LISTS

Straightforward per-number control, with the block list checked before country and prefix rules. Numbers already in your contacts always ring — that is enforced by Android itself, so people you know are never at risk of being screened out.

DECISION LOG

Every incoming call is recorded with the reason it was allowed or blocked: blocked by list, outside home country, waiting for a callback, callback received, and so on. Reasons are stored as codes rather than text, so if you switch your phone's language, past entries switch with them.

PRIVACY BY CONSTRUCTION

- No data collected — nothing is sent anywhere, ever
- No account, no sign-in, no ads, no trackers
- All lists and logs live in a local database on your phone
- Your contacts are not read or uploaded
- Uninstalling deletes everything

This is not a policy promise layered on top of a data business. It is how the app is built.
