About this app

A place to keep that one line from that day.

One line is enough today.
That the weather was nice. An idea that came to you. The title of a film you want to see again.
An ordinary line, read back later, is proof that today really happened.
Now and then, that line can grow into something you want to draw.

Paper and pen, with time added. That is Papertime.

— Every day
• A journal with one page per day. Grid paper, seasonal covers, stickers and decorative tape
• Scrap photos, video, and audio. Tasks sit on the same paper as your journal

— Growing
• Turn a line you wrote into the shape of a script (vertical writing supported)
• Panels — a storyboard — rise out of the script. Stick figures are plenty
• Put time on the panels and they become an animatic. The camera can move, too

— A door to professional tools
• Export PSD (with layers), Fountain, FCPXML, EDL, and SRT
• Everything you draw and write can leave as your own files

— Learning
• Language learning from your own drawings. The scenes you drew become the study material

About pricing
Writing and drawing in your journal, creating storyboards, and basic exports are free. There is no limit on how many journals you keep.
Stories (reading material), stickers, and brush types are sold one by one, only if you like them. One-time purchases.
Auto-renewing monthly and yearly plans add Google Drive backup, export of your entire journal history, original-size photo imports, and other service features.
Check the price and period on the purchase screen. Manage or cancel your subscription in your device settings.

Your writing and drawings are saved on your device, and in your Google Drive when you use backup. We do not keep them on our servers.
