About this app

DBT Wise Guide is a grounded companion for learning and practising Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills — built for daily life, not the classroom.

DBT teaches concrete skills for coping with intense emotions, getting through hard moments, and communicating without burning bridges. This app makes those skills easy to find, understand, and actually use when you need them.

THE FOUR DBT MODULES

• Mindfulness — observe and describe your experience without reacting to it
• Distress Tolerance — get through painful moments without making them worse, using skills like TIPP, STOP, and radical acceptance
• Emotion Regulation — understand your emotional patterns and shift them
• Interpersonal Effectiveness — ask for what you need and say no, while keeping the relationship and your self-respect intact

BUILD A DAILY PRACTICE

• Diary card — track moods, urges, and the skills you used
• Skills library — plain-language guides to every skill, searchable when you need one fast
• Journal — a private space for reflection
• Guided exercises — short practices you can do in a few minutes
• Your Path — a personalised plan that adapts as you go
• Progress insights — see what is actually working over time

WHEN THINGS GET HARD

The Crisis Toolkit puts grounding skills and crisis resources one tap away, including the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and the Crisis Text Line. No searching, no scrolling.

If you work with a therapist, you can share a summary of your progress — mood averages, practice streaks, skills profile. Sharing is always opt-in and never automatic. Your journal entries, reflections, and crisis kit stay private and are never included.

WHAT THIS IS, AND WHAT IT ISN'T

DBT Wise Guide is a self-guided educational tool. It is not therapy, diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice, and it is not a substitute for professional mental health care.

If you are in crisis, please contact a licensed professional or call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) in the US.
