Rádio Eco da Tradição - The Radio Station of the Gaucho Traditionalist Movement
At a time when communication engages society in a diverse and comprehensive way, it is crucial to be aware of what makes communication one of the most important activities of our time. With this in mind, and with Barbosa Lessa's thesis that "every thirty years, in the wake of some global or national upheaval, and with a climate of openness to spiritual inquiry, some "ism" related to tradition emerges," the Gaucho Traditionalist Movement created a digital communication channel: Eco da Tradição.

Designed to bring information to the most remote corners of our state, the newspaper Eco da Tradição was the official publication of the MTG/RS for two decades. Upon its 20th anniversary in September 2021, it gave way to a digital complex dedicated to serving as the official newsletter for organized traditionalism. "Every boss, every organization, coordinator, counselor, peão, or prenda can use the Echo of Tradition to publicize their activities. Radio is, without a doubt, one of the most important and democratic means of communication ever invented," said Savaris.

The MTG Chasque program, hosted by Rogério and Liliane Bastos, with the participation of regional correspondents, Monday through Friday mornings, will feature plenty of music, interviews, tradition, and folklore for all tastes. On some days of the week (to be determined as the program progresses), a debate program and another cultural program will be included.

The union of gaucho culture, tradition, and folklore with communication mediated by information technology has the potential for social transformation, shaping citizens, as advocated in the MTG's charter of principles, which celebrated its 60th anniversary.

MTG Chasque Program: Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., repeating at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
