About this app

Falling Filter turns one person into many.

Point the camera at yourself and copies of you appear, falling down the screen, while the room behind you stays exactly where it is. It happens live as you move, so you see the whole effect before you record a second of it.

NO TRIPOD. NO SECOND TAKE.

Most clone apps ask you to prop your phone up, film one half of the frame, film the other half, then wait while the two halves are stitched together. Move the camera and it falls apart. Walk across the middle of the shot and you disappear.

This one works differently. It finds you in every single frame and cuts you out as it goes. So you can hold the phone in your hand, move around, and get the shot in one take.

FOUR LOOKS, ONE TAP

Drift. Two copies, barely moving. The quiet one.
Stack. Three copies standing still, like a totem pole.
Cascade. Four copies falling at a steady pace.
Rain. Six copies falling fast. The effect at full tilt.

Want something in between? Open Adjust and set the number of copies and the fall speed yourself. Both sliders move while the camera is running, so you are always looking at the real result, never a preview thumbnail.

WHAT PEOPLE MAKE WITH IT

Dance clips where the whole crew is you.
A chorus of you singing the same line.
Skateboard and sports clips with the trick repeating down the frame.
Reaction videos with three of you disagreeing.
Simple portraits that look like a long exposure.

EVERYTHING STAYS ON YOUR PHONE

Falling Filter has no internet permission at all. Not optional, not switched off, simply absent. Your camera cannot reach a server because the app has no way to send anything anywhere. No account, no sign up, no upload, no tracking. It works in airplane mode, on a plane, in a basement, anywhere.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Open the app. The camera is already running.
2. Pick a look, or leave it on Cascade.
3. Step back so your whole body is in frame.
4. Hold record for up to 15 seconds.
5. Your clip saves straight to your gallery.

TIPS FOR A CLEANER RESULT

Good light on you helps the cutout find your edges.
A plain wall or an uncluttered background gives the sharpest copies.
Leave a little space above your head so the falling copies have somewhere to go.
Slow, deliberate movement reads better than fast movement.

Falling Filter is one screen and one button, and it does one thing properly.
Copies of you, falling down the screen. Live, handheld, and fully offline.
