About this app

FAUNA brings your animal's whole life together in one place: health, routine, walks, and the people who look after them too.

WHAT YOU CAN DO TODAY

• A profile for each animal, with photos, breed, age, microchip and documents
• Vaccines, medication, weight and appointments, with reminders of what is coming due
• A calendar with the full history, month by month and day by day
• Walks recorded with the route on the map, the distance and the time
• A health card with a code to show your vet, or whoever is looking after them
• Co-guardians: whoever shares the care sees and records the same things
• Shared accounts, so you know what caring for them really costs
• A community of owners: posts, stories, groups and the question of the day
• A map with vets, shops, parks and shelters around you
• Events: real shows, fairs and walks, with the source in plain sight
• Lost and found, alerting whoever marked the same area
• A Marketplace to buy and sell between owners (no animals are sold)

GENUINELY MULTI-SPECIES

This is not a dog app with a field that says "other". The horse has its training, the aquarium has its readings, breeding has its litters, and the dog still has everything you expect. Several species, from dogs and cats to cattle, poultry and fish.

WHAT HAS NOT OPENED YET

The app is already working, but some features are not available yet. We want to be transparent from the start — this is also in the app, under "About this version":

• Shelter and volunteer accounts, including listing animals for adoption.
• Donations to shelters, which will arrive together with those accounts.

Improvements come inside this same app, and we always say what is missing.

BOOKING, BUYING AND PAYING

Booking with a business and talking to a seller is free, and works today. Paying inside the app becomes available as each business connects its account — until then you arrange it directly with them, and FAUNA neither receives nor holds that money.

WHAT IS FREE, AND WHAT IS NOT

Caring for your animal is free: the profile, the health records, the reminders, the walks, the health card, the co-guardians and the shared accounts. The community, the map and the marketplace are free for everyone.

The free account holds two animals. From the third onwards you need FAUNA Premium — an optional subscription, monthly or yearly, with 1 month free on the monthly plan — which also opens mating, the animal's retrospective, the timeline, the weight charts, the food and medication stock, and the travel checklist.

NO TRICKS

FAUNA never charges anything for an adoption, neither to the adopter nor to the shelter: if a shelter asks for a fee, it goes entirely to that shelter.

WHO IS BEHIND IT

FAUNA is published by STEADYDAWN, LDA, a Portuguese company with tax number 519618637, based in Funchal. It is responsible for your data, and this is written in the Terms and in the Privacy Policy.

What’s new

• Tidier animal profile: name and tabs stay in view as you scroll, fewer buttons.
• Lost pets: alerts for the area you choose, not just your city. A collar tag scanned with the app says at once that the animal is lost.
• When an animal dies, the app stops treating it as alive: the poster comes down and reminders stop.
• Professionals: your busiest hours, each member's share, and a payout account.
• Insurance: information only, no prices.
