FilesToNAS is an SMB backup app for Android. It backs up folders from your phone directly to your own NAS or SMB share — a Synology, QNAP, a home server, or any SMB2/3 share on your network. There is no cloud service in between, no account to create, and no data passing through anyone else's servers.
■ HOW IT WORKS
- Pick the folders you want backed up, point the app at your SMB share, and sync. Files go straight from your phone to your NAS over SMB2/3.
- Uploads are written to a temporary file first, then renamed atomically once complete. An interrupted transfer never leaves a half-written file at the destination.
- Backups are additive. New and changed files are uploaded; files already on your NAS are never deleted automatically.
- Sync state is tracked locally on your device, so the app knows what has already been transferred without relying on your NAS clock.

■ PRIVACY
- No ads. No advertising ID. No analytics. No third-party trackers.
- Your SMB credentials are stored locally on your device and used only to connect to the server you specify.
- Note: the SMB connection protects integrity through message signing, but file contents are not encrypted in transit. Use FilesToNAS on a network you trust.
