Film Recipes keeps colour recipes as cards. A recipe is a short list of camera-style colour settings: base tone, grain, white balance, dynamic range, highlight and shadow, colour, sharpness, clarity and exposure. Try a recipe on your own photo, put it on a whole batch at full resolution, and share it as a QR card, a link or a few lines of text.
No ads, no watermark, no account. Your photos are processed on your phone and never uploaded.
16 RECIPES IN THE BOX
• Eight free for good: Saigon Noon, Hanoi Winter, Harbor Blue Hour, Paper Lantern, Monsoon Street, Ink & Rain, Morning Market and Pastel Balcony
• Eight more with Pro: Dalat Pine Fog, Night Ferry, Tea House, Coastal Road, Old Quarter, Silver Afternoon, Rooftop Summer and Rainy Tram
• Preview every recipe, Pro ones included, and read all of its settings before you decide
• Twelve base tones of our own underneath: Clear, Vivid, Soft, Harbor, Amber, Street, Push, Pastel, Bleach, Lagoon, and Ink and Tea in black and white
TRY IT ON YOUR PHOTO
• Every card renders on the same preview photo, so recipes are easy to compare
• Use one of eight sample landscape photos, or pick one of your own
• Press and hold the photo to see the original
MAKE IT YOURS
• Change any setting the way you would in a camera menu: grain and grain size, tone depth, blue depth, white balance with red and blue shift or a Kelvin value, dynamic range 100/200/400, highlight, shadow, colour, sharpness, clarity, exposure in thirds, vignette and halation
• Save it as your own recipe with a name and your name as the author
APPLY TO A BATCH
• Choose up to 5 photos at a time, or 100 with Pro
• Every photo is made at full resolution on your phone and saved as a new picture in Pictures / Film Recipes
• Your originals are never changed. The new photo keeps its capture date, and never your location
SHARE AS A CARD
• Every recipe becomes a card: the recipe on your photo, its settings and a QR code
• Share the card as an image, save it, or send the recipe as a link or plain text for a chat, a forum or a blog post
• A recipe link opens straight in the app, or shows the card in any web browser
ADD A FRIEND'S RECIPE
• Scan a card's QR code with Google's scanner; the app never asks for your camera
• Open a recipe link, or paste recipe text copied from anywhere
• Film Recipes also reads the way recipe blogs and forums usually write their settings. If a recipe names a colour profile the app doesn't have, it keeps every other setting and lets you pick a base tone
BRING YOUR OWN LUT
• Import a .cube file and build recipes on it
• With Pro, export any recipe as a .cube LUT for video and desktop editors
FREE AND PRO
Free, with no time limit: 8 recipes, 5 recipes of your own, 5 photos per batch, sharing and adding recipes by QR code, link or text, and .cube import.
Film Recipes Pro adds the other 8 recipes, unlimited recipes of your own, 100 photos per batch and .cube export. Choose a yearly or monthly subscription, or pay once for lifetime access. Prices are shown in the app, in your currency, from Google Play. Subscriptions renew until you cancel in Google Play.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Every preview, photo, card and LUT is made on your phone
• No account, no sign-in, no ads, no advertising ID
• You pick photos with Android's photo picker; the app has no access to the rest of your gallery
• Anonymous usage counts and crash reports help fix problems. They never include your photos or recipes, and one switch in Settings turns them off
