it's a very good reliable app. I'm having one problem. when I transfer movie files from my laptop to my tablet it sends two movie files rather than just one. it doesn't do this when I'm transferring music files. just movie files

Very simple to use and works well between my phone and Linux laptop in both directions. One suggestion I would have for the developer would be to hook into the Android text selection menu so that I could select some text and then immediately send it to my laptop from the menu.
