Based on my continuing experience, LibriVox is extremely tedious and difficult to navigate. For example, the Crime Stories radio series I am listening to does not advance to the next 30 minute segment. After listening to one segment, I have to start over, and search for the next one. Another example, I unsuccessfully tried to leave a comment about the series on the website's comment section, but could do no more than assign a star rating. (I gave LibriVox a second star, because it is free.)

Thanks for your review. What makes the app hard to navigate? Specific examples are always helpful to know where to improve.

I generally like the app and don't mind the ads between chapters BUT there desperately needs to be a way to level the volume especially between the readers and ads. I'll be peacefully listening to a wonderful reader tell me a story as I doze off only to be blasted awake by some obnoxious person trying to sell me something by yelling me into submission. By the time I've gotten the volume under control, the reader is back at a whisper and I have to adjust it again. Rinse & repeat until I give up.

Thanks for your review and sorry for the difficulties with volume. Under app settings have you checked the box that says "Normalize volume"?

This is a good free app. However, there are some improvements to be made. The book or podcast stops after every chapter making it a bit annoying if the chapters are short. Scrolling through the catalog is a bit clunky. For some, if the book is paused it starts much further back in the story when unpaused. And it doesn't work seamlessly with the Google maps app - if paused, Librivox will sometimes close. It's good for a free app but it could be better.

Thanks for your review and feedback. You might want to check device settings > Battery and device care > Battery. and make sure that the "Power saving mode" is not enabled and settings > Apps > Librivox > Battery and make sure that the "Allow background activity" is enabled and that under "Optimize battery usage" the app is not optimized.
