Horrible. I couldn't get it to connect to Wi-Fi. I had to download the classic app, login and connect with that and then, the grill showed up in this app. It gets stuck in a loop "checking for updates" but never completes. From what I found online, if your Wi-Fi network name and password have more than 15 characters in them total, then it won't work. It's 2026. This is just stupid.

This app is helpful if I'm not right by my smoker, but it is seriously lacking in notifications about my smoker temp. I just checked mine and it was almost 100 degrees lower than what I had it set to for a 12+ hour smoke and I had no idea (I had checked my hopper and it looked okay so I didn't add to it maybe 30 minutes before the temp looked to be dropping). I wish I'd gotten an alert from the app when it was like 20-ish degrees off, now I need to troubleshoot my cook and see where my meat is.

When I bought my 800 series 2 years ago. This app worked ok at best. Always dropping signal or having to reconnect to the WiFi. My router is literally 20 feet at most from the grill. Now for the past year I cannot even get it to connect at all. I've done everything from uninstalling and reinstalling. Nothing. Even bought a new router in hopes that would fix it. Nope. Just sucks I have to stay by the grill and watch the temps. When the grill goes out in the next year or 2. I'm buying a Traeger...
