You cannot see when an app opens your microphone. That is the whole problem.
Microphone and Camera Blocker puts a shield between your sensors and the apps that reach for them. One tap holds your microphone and both cameras, so anything running in the background finds them already taken. No guessing, no trusting, no wondering what that app was doing while it sat there minimised.
ONE TAP, BOTH SENSORS
The shield goes on and off with a single control. While it is on, the app holds your microphone and both the front and rear cameras. An app that tries to record in the background does not get your voice. An app that tries to open a camera does not get a picture.
This was measured, not assumed. With the shield on, a background recording came back at an audio level of 0.0, which is silence. With it off, the same recording came back at 180.5. Android's own camera service lists this app as the client holding both cameras while the shield is up.
SEE WHO CAN HEAR AND SEE YOU
Before you block anything, look at what you already granted. The app lists every installed app that holds microphone or camera permission, so the question stops being theoretical. Most people find at least one they do not remember approving.
WHAT IT BLOCKS, AND WHAT IT CANNOT

It blocks apps in the background. That is the real threat and that is what it stops.
It is not a hardware switch. It cannot cut power to the microphone or the camera, because no app on Android can. Anyone claiming otherwise is selling you something that does not exist.

It cannot override system level or privileged apps that sit below the level any normal app can reach.
