About this app

PERIOD. — the honest cycle app from the Netherlands.

Privacy is not a feature. It is the foundation.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers, "partners" or third parties. No trackers. No advertising. No data brokers. Your cycle, your data — never for sale.

We just help you understand your body.

WHAT YOU GET
• Period tracker and cycle calendar with reminders
• Ovulation and fertile day predictions that learn from your cycle
• Symptom logging — energy, mood, sleep, skin, libido, pain, cramps and more
• PMS, PCOS, endometriosis and irregular cycles: see your patterns and share them with your doctor
• Doctor report: export your cycle history as a PDF
• Cycle phase explanations: follicular, ovulation, luteal, menstrual
• AI questions about your cycle, personalised to you
• Trying to conceive: BBT chart and fertile window (PERIOD. baby)
• Pregnancy week by week and postpartum tracking (PERIOD. baby)
• Calm, considered design — no dark patterns

WHY WE ARE DIFFERENT
Most cycle apps are built by men, for women, with your data as the business model. Cycle trackers have been at the centre of multiple privacy scandals — most notably the 2021 FTC settlement where one large app shared your data with Facebook.

We built PERIOD. because we wanted something different. We are a small, Dutch, women-led team. Founder Lisa uses the app herself every day. Every design choice starts with: would I want this for myself?

PRIVACY, BY DESIGN
• Cycle and health data on EU servers (Frankfurt), encrypted in transit and at rest
• No tracking pixels, no behavioural ads, no third-party SDKs
• Export or delete everything, at any time
• GDPR-compliant from day one
• Full sub-processors list at myperiod.app/verwerkers

Basic features stay free. We are a young app — not everything is done yet. But we build in the open, listen to the women who use it, and try to be the cycle app you would recommend to your friend.

If that sounds like what you were waiting for — welcome.

I love that this app is truly free (unless you want to pay for the sub to get more insights). I also love that I get a look into what my body is going through every day with my patterns and cycle insights. It's simple, accurate, and private!

It's my first app ever to track my period, and I'm in love... it's simple to use. The best part is that it communicates with me throughout my cycle, describing all the stages my body is going through.

Thank you, Dimpho. Welcome to tracking. Explaining what your body does in each phase was important to us. So glad you're in love. Lisa & the PERIOD. team

What’s new

PERIOD. baby is here. Track trying to conceive, your pregnancy week for week and your recovery after birth, all in the app you already know. Also in this update: switching between plus and baby now works as it should, importing data from other apps is more reliable, and we fixed several bugs you reported. Thank you for writing to us.
