It does one thing
In the half second before you blow up, shut down, or spiral — pause, and get a clear look at what's actually going on.
No daily check-ins, no streaks, no rankings. On the days you're fine, it leaves you alone.
Two moves is all it takes
• When it's rough, press the big circle in the middle of the screen. It walks you through three steps: catch your breath, take a look at what's going on, try one small move. About 40 seconds — and you can leave anytime. Leaving still counts as done.
• Later, when you have a minute, note one line: what it felt like, and what you did next. Thirty seconds.
Everything else in the app only becomes useful once those two have added up.
When you want a method
38 practices, each answering the same four questions: when to use it, how long it takes, what it's like afterwards, and whether it has actually worked for you so far. From a ten-second breath to "Tap once, come back," "Breathe all the way out," "Sit a while (with a bell)," "Listen a while," "Stand on the other side, four steps," and "Say two lines before it goes."
Rescue is always free and one press away — hold the circle for three seconds and it skips straight past the words.
What it doesn't do
• No streaks, no rankings, no red-dot badges.
• No progress bars. It never rewards or punishes — it only shows.
• It won't grade you. Same as always / paused halfway / did something different — all three the same size, all three gently received.
• It won't chase you. Two reminders a day by default, the awareness bell only if you turn it on, and you can switch them all off.
Your entries stay yours
• No ads. We never sell emotional data. Never used for insurance or credit profiling.
• Offline by default: with cloud backup off, the app sends nothing to any server. No telemetry, no analytics SDK, no advertising identifier.
• What you write stays on this device.
• Changing phones? You can turn on cloud backup (off by default): it's encrypted on your phone before anything is uploaded, and only you, with your recovery code, can open it. No account, and we can't read the contents. Turn it off anytime, and delete the cloud copy while you're at it.
• Export or destroy everything, anytime.
Plainly said
This is a practice tool, not medical or psychological treatment. When it's genuinely bad, please reach a professional — regional support lines are always one tap away inside the app.
When it's rough, press the circle: breathe, then look. No streaks, no rankings.
