About this app

Mipkin is a cosy self-care pet: a small creature who lives in your phone, and a quiet loop you can pick up and put down.

You look after them by looking after yourself. Answer the day in three taps, weather, energy, what you need, and the day shapes itself around that answer, so a heavy day leads with the smaller things instead of the same list as everyone else's.

Your companion arrives through a small ritual and is the one that came, not one you picked off a grid. They grow through five visible stages. Growth counts wanders taken, never days in a row, so a fortnight away leaves it exactly where you left it.

SOMEWHERE TO PUT THE DAY DOWN
A mood journal and diary in your own words, with a question above the box so the first sentence is nearly free. Stored on your phone. Yours to delete, one at a time.

A ROOM THAT FILLS UP
Warmth is earned by living here and spent on things that then appear in your Nook. It cannot be bought with money, so nothing in the shop can be skipped by paying.

LITTLE ADVENTURES
They wander off and come home with a keepsake and something written about where they went. Call them back early if you miss them.

WIDGETS THAT SAY THE THING
Home screen widgets that tell you what your companion is up to in a finished sentence. Nothing is withheld to make you open the app.

A calm breathing guide at three paces, with your companion breathing along. Five, four, three, two, one, a way back into the room through your own senses. And a worry box: write down what is going round, shut it in, open it again or let it go. None of it is counted, and the box never leaves your phone.

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT, WITH CHOICES YOU CONTROL
Your journal and reflections stay on your phone unless you ask for a reflection; a reflection sends only the page you choose for a short AI response, with no companion name or identifier. Visiting shares only an optional generic visitor card. Private friends are invite-only, with no directory, profiles, chosen companions, writing or chat. An optional account backup can save companion progress, Nook choices, inventory and settings, but never journal pages, reflections, worries, friend aliases, visiting codes or credentials.

Mipkin is a comfort object with structure. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. It is not therapy, medical care, or a crisis service. For medical advice, consult a qualified healthcare professional.
