Post Op helps patients and care teams stay connected during recovery after surgery. Patients can complete recovery check-ins, share wound photos, track symptoms and observations, and message their care team. Clinicians can review submitted information in a secure dashboard to support timely follow-up.
What you can do in the app
• Complete digital recovery check-ins (patient-reported outcome measures and recovery questions)
• Take and share wound photos with your clinical team for review
• Record observations such as symptoms and vital signs
• Message your care team using secure in-app messaging
• Access recovery resources including exercise videos, nutrition guidance, and wellbeing content
Health data and Health Connect
Post Op can also import selected measurements from Google Health Connect, if you choose to connect it. This helps reduce manual entry and keeps your recovery information in one place.
If connected, Post Op may read the following data types (depending on what you have available and what you permit):
• Steps and cadence
• Blood glucose
• Blood pressure
• Body temperature
• Heart rate
• Oxygen saturation
• Respiratory rate
You can use the app without connecting Health Connect, and you can change permissions at any time in your device settings.
How we use your information
We use the information you submit (including photos and health measurements) to:
• Display your recovery information in the app
• Share it with your authorized clinical team for review and follow-up
• Support your care pathway and communication with your provider
We do not sell your personal or health information.
Important safety information
