Post Op helps patients and care teams stay connected during recovery after surgery. Patients can complete recovery check-ins, share wound photos, track symptoms and observations, and message their care team. Clinicians can review submitted information in a secure dashboard to support timely follow-up.
This app is intended to support post-operative care alongside your clinical team. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional if you have questions about your health, symptoms, medications, or care plan, or before you make medical decisions.
What you can do in the app
• Complete digital recovery check-ins (patient-reported outcome measures and recovery questions)
• Take and share wound photos with your clinical team for review
• Record observations such as symptoms and vital signs
• Message your care team using secure in-app messaging

How we use your information
We use the information you submit (including photos and health-related observations you choose to record) to:
• Display your recovery information in the app
• Share it with your authorised clinical team for review and follow-up
• Support your care pathway and communication with your provider
We do not sell your personal or health information.
Google Health Connect (Android):
Post Op can integrate with Google Health Connect on Android devices where it is available. You may need to install or update the Health Connect app from the Play Store. Sync is optional; connecting does not replace clinical assessments, prescribed monitoring, or advice from your healthcare professionals.
Post Op requests read access only through Health Connect (we do not write updates back into Health Connect from this integration). You grant access per category in Health Connect.
Any data the user chooses to sync through Google Health Connect, with the user’s consent, is securely displayed within Post Op and may be shared with the user’s authorised clinical team to support post-operative recovery monitoring and follow-up care. Post Op only requests read access and does not write data back to Health Connect.
The app may request read access for:
• Heart rate
• Oxygen saturation (SpO₂)
• Respiratory rate
• Blood pressure
• Body temperature
• Blood glucose
(Corresponding Android Health Connect permissions: read heart rate; read oxygen saturation; read respiratory rate; read blood pressure; read body temperature; read blood glucose.)
Important safety information
Post Op supports post-operative communication and monitoring, but it is not an emergency service. If you think you may be experiencing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency number right away.
Use of Post Op is typically provided as part of care from a participating clinic or hospital.
