About this app

The Right To Ride application empowers California riders to improve the public transit experience through transparent, community-driven reporting and data sharing.

Transit riders can quickly and conveniently submit feedback relating to their personal comfort, safety, and security. Users may report negative (but non-emergency) experiences, such as incidents of harassment, verbal abuse, suspicious activity, poor lighting, overcrowding, cleanliness, malfunctioning equipment, etc. Users may also report positive experiences. Users may opt to submit reports on an anonymous basis.

User reports are collected by the Right To Ride organization, which is committed to improving the public transit experience in California. Aggregated data may be shared with transit operators and government officials to provide community-driven transparency on public transit experiences and help inform future planning and priorities.
