Willpower fails. A camera pointed at your face works better.
ShameLock blocks the apps that eat your day. When you open one during a block window, the app doesn't open — the front camera does. You take a selfie, and only then do you get five minutes in. That photo goes on your Wall of Shame, timestamped, next to every other time you caved.
HOW IT WORKS
• Pick the apps you want blocked — social media, video, games, anything installed.
• Set the hours: work time, evenings, or the 2 AM doomscroll window.
• Open a blocked app in that window and ShameLock shows the camera instead.
• Take the selfie, get 5 minutes. Or back out and stay strong.
STRICT MODE
For the hours you really mean it. The selfie still gets taken and still goes on the wall — but there's no unlock. The blocked app closes. No negotiating with yourself.
YOUR WALL OF SHAME
Every unlock is a photo with the app name and the time. Scrolled Instagram at 2:17 AM with the face to prove it. It's funnier than a bar chart and it works better, because you have to look at it.
STATS AND RECAPS
See unlocks per app, per day, per week. Get a daily, weekly, or monthly recap notification with the damage. Compare against last period and watch the number drop — or don't, and see that too.
HOLD NOTIFICATIONS
Blocking the app doesn't help if it keeps buzzing. Turn on notification blocking per app and ShameLock holds those notifications until your block window ends, then hands them back.
SCHEDULES
Build as many schedules as you need. Different apps, different days, different hours. Weekdays, weekends, or specific days — each with its own time windows.
PRIVACY
Your selfies never leave your phone. No account, no upload, no cloud, no sharing. Photos, rules and stats live in the app's own storage on your device, and you can delete any of it at any time. ShameLock uses Android's Accessibility Service only to see which app is in the foreground — it cannot read your screen content, text or passwords, and it never touches apps you haven't chosen to block.
