About this app

Shima is a private shared photo album for keeping photos, videos and notes with your family, your partner or your closest group. A family photo gallery where every picture stays on the day it happened.

It is not a social network. No feed, no public profiles, no followers, no ads. Just you and the people you love, organised by day.

HOW IT WORKS
- Create a space: private (just you), shared (with whoever you invite) or hidden (under lock).
- Invite with a link. Up to 10 people per space, and being invited is always free.
- Upload today's photos and videos, or import a whole album from your phone: every photo lands on the date it was taken.
- Write the note of the day: what happened, who was there, why you'll remember it.
- React with an emoji, a comment or your voice, on a photo or on the whole day.

WHAT MAKES THIS SHARED ALBUM DIFFERENT
- A day-by-day timeline. Open the calendar and see at a glance which days hold memories.
- A gallery by month, with a monthly summary and albums.
- Voice reactions. Sometimes a "so lovely" said out loud means more than a heart.
- "On this day": memories come back when the date does.
- A hidden space for two: you and whoever you choose. It doesn't show in your list, opens with fingerprint or PIN, and nothing leaves it: no screenshots, no exports.
- As many spaces as you want, with the storage where you decide: each one draws from your plan or reserves its own.
- Donate storage: any member can lend space from their own plan to a shared space.
- Search by date, by space or by what you wrote.
- Warm dark mode that follows your system.

YOUR PHOTOS ARE YOURS
- Photos stored on servers in Western Europe, encrypted at rest.
- We remove the location from your photos before uploading them.
- No facial recognition. No scanning your photos for advertising. We never sell your data.
- Delete means delete: once something leaves the trash, it is really gone.
- Export your photos or delete your account whenever you want, from the app.

MODERATION LIKE A TRUSTED GROUP
Whoever creates the space decides: they can remove anything and manage who joins. Each member manages their own uploads. If someone leaves, what they shared stays until the owner removes it.

PLANS
Free with 1 GB to get started. You pay for storage, not for people: paid plans go from 50 GB to 1 TB, include hidden spaces, and are cheaper if paid yearly. Being invited is always free. Everything you uploaded stays yours even if you stop paying.
