Accessibility Service usage:
Synovue Client optionally uses the Android AccessibilityService. It is used only to automatically start the app after device boot and to keep the digital signage screen running in kiosk mode. It does not read or collect personal data, keystrokes or content from other apps, and it never changes system settings without user consent. Users can disable this feature at any time and still start the app manually.
Foreground Service Usage (Media Playback):
Synovue Client uses a foreground service with MEDIA_PLAYBACK type only during active digital signage playback on Android devices. This service is required to keep video and visual content continuously playing when the device is unattended, in kiosk mode, or when the system would otherwise suspend background tasks.
The foreground service starts only while media content is actively displayed on screen and stops immediately when playback ends. A persistent system notification is shown while the service is running, informing the user that Synovue Client is actively playing media.
Without this foreground service, uninterrupted digital signage playback is not technically possible on Android devices.
