No. Sane Scrolling does not access, collect, or store any personal or sensitive user data. The Accessibility Service API is used only to identify short-form video content locally on your device and enforce the screen time limits you configure.

Ratings and reviews

So far I love it. It lets me use YouTube for the things I actually want it for, the longer-form content, without getting too sucked into the shorts. I do wish, however, that I could set timers for individual apps. I give myself a little more leeway for scrolling on Instagram than I do YouTube. I don't want to scroll too long, but still more than YouTube. So far I'll keep using Android's built-in app timer for Instagram.

An absolute godsend if you ever get stuck doomscrolling like me! Works across multiple apps and has a collective timer, so there's no hopping from one app to another when you've been blocked. Also doesn't block you from using the Instagram side of Instagram or the full length side of YouTube! Thanks for helping fix my terrible habit :)

It kind of works. But basically you're replacing short form videos with banner ads. Also it doesn't block Instagram reels if they show up in your main feed. It might be worth it if you buy the premium version
