About this app
Beer comes in different sizes, strengths, currencies and prices, which is exactly what makes comparing two offers at the bar annoying. Bierfux does the arithmetic: enter what a beer costs and it tells you which one is really the better deal.
TWO WAYS TO COMPARE
Price per half litre, or price per 100 g of pure alcohol. The first answers where more beer stands for your money, the second where more Surprisingly effect. does often those are not the same answer.
ANY CURRENCY, ANY UNIT
159 currencies, and millilitres, half litres, imperial pints or litres, converted into whichever base currency you pick. Rates are fetched at most once a day, and with no connection the app carries on with the ones it already has.
FILTER, AND THE RANKING FOLLOWS
Filter by where you bought it, by country, by your own labels, or by a date range. Ranks are recalculated inside the filtered list, so the best of what you can see is always number 1. The filter survives closing the app.
THE BIERDECKEL
Count the round the way you would on a cardboard coaster. Give a drink a price and it counts the money too, with a running total of what you owe — in your own currency and, if you ask for it, in the one the bar will ask for. Settling up files the evening under past evenings as an itemised bill, with a timestamp on every single drink, and the lines stay put for next time.
NOTHING ASKS BEFORE IT DELETES
A swipe deletes immediately and puts an Undo with a visible countdown over it. Being asked to confirm every small thing is more annoying than a mistake you can take back in four seconds. What each swipe does is yours to set.
A HISTORY WITH FROZEN RATES
A price you file into the history keeps the exchange rate of its own date, so what you paid last summer does not drift because the rate has moved since.
YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE
No account, no sign-up, no tracking, no analytics, no ads. Everything you enter lives in a database on your phone. The app makes one kind of network request and it fetches exchange rates. Android's automatic Google backup is deliberately switched off so that sentence is actually true, and you can export a backup yourself whenever you want to move your entries.

• Your drinks, in your order. Pick Reorder drinks from the Bierdeckel's menu, hold a row and drag it where you want it — settling up leaves it alone.
• While you pick, the header stays where it is, turns grey and says how many you have chosen.
• Back now clears the selection instead of leaving the page, and the way out is always in the same corner.
