Basketball Dribble Meter helps basketball players practice stationary dribbling rhythm, timing, ball control, and consistency using a phone or tablet.
The app is designed for in-place basketball dribbling practice. It works as a basketball dribble counter, rhythm trainer, and ball handling practice tool.
It uses the built-in accelerometer to detect floor vibrations caused by the bouncing basketball and evaluate your dribbling rhythm.
The app is designed for indoor wooden sports floors, parquet, and laminate flooring. Reliable operation on other floor types or outdoor surfaces is not guaranteed.
Place the device on the floor with the display facing up, stand nearby, and start dribbling the basketball in place.
Basketball Dribble Meter can be used for individual practice, skill challenges, group exercises, and playful basketball training.
After each training session, the app provides a percentage result, making player performance easy to compare.
Coaches can use the app to train stationary dribbling rhythm, timing, accuracy, and ball control.
Main features:
• Basketball dribble counter
Detects valid basketball bounces through floor vibrations and helps measure dribbling rhythm during stationary practice.
• Live rhythm measurement
Use Free Mode for quick rhythm feedback. The app shows current dribbling speed after several valid bounces and helps check signal stability.
• Rhythm-based training
Train with target rhythm and target count settings. The app compares your in-place dribbling with the selected rhythm and gives immediate feedback.
• Live feedback
During training, the app shows whether your timing is ON BEAT, FAST, SLOW, or MISS.
• Presets and custom training
Choose presets such as Easy Warm-Up, Starter Rhythm, Game Tempo, and Fast Control, or create your own custom rhythm and target count.
• Adjustable tolerance
Select Easy, Normal, or Strict timing tolerance depending on how precise you want the rhythm evaluation to be.
• Metronome and sound feedback
Use audible and optional visual metronome feedback to support steady dribbling rhythm.
• Skill challenges and coaching use
Percentage results and detailed evaluations make performance easy to compare for challenges, group exercises, and coaching analysis.
• Detailed results
After training, the app shows grade, score, good bounces, errors, accuracy, stability, target settings, and error breakdown.
• Rhythm graph
The result screen includes a graph to help identify too-fast, too-slow, missed, and uncertain events.
• PDF export
Save the latest result as a PDF file from the result screen.
System requirements:
• Android 10 or newer
• Phone or tablet with a working accelerometer
• Indoor wooden sports floor, parquet, or laminate flooring
How to use:
1. Place the phone or tablet safely on the floor with the display facing up.
2. Stand about 0.5–1 meter from the bounce area.
3. Start dribbling the basketball in place.
4. Let the app detect the bounce rhythm through floor vibrations.
5. Review your score, timing accuracy, rhythm stability, and result.
Privacy and data:
Training data is processed locally on the device.
The app has no cloud sync, no ads, and no activity tracking.
PDF files are created only when you explicitly save a result.
Important notes:
Reliable detection depends on floor material, device placement, ball pressure, bounce strength, and training environment.
For best results, place the device safely on the floor, usually about 0.5–1 meter from the bounce area.
Make sure nobody nearby is dribbling a ball at the same time, as this may interfere with detection.
Basketball Dribble Meter is intended as a training support tool for stationary basketball dribbling rhythm, timing, and ball control practice.
Note: After installation, the app may appear on your device as JC DribbleMeter.
