Pacer IRSRT is an app, which helps trainers, sport scientists or athletes itself to undertake an intermittent recovery shuttle run test.
The aim of a shuttle run test is to run as long as possible - until the runner reaches his maximum effort - back and forth between two markers at the speeds indicated by the sound signals of the app. It is often used as performance test as e.g. for soccer players. The result indicates the aerobic exercise zone and the threshold between aerobic (endurance training) and anaerobic zone (hardcore trainng).
Pacer IRSRT is pre-configured with following values:
The IRSRT starts at the speed of 7 kmph. The speed level increases every 60 seconds by 0.5 kmph. The two markes are positioned 20 meters apart. After level change the runner has a break of 15 seconds.
The app also shows on which marker position (left or right) a possible lactate measurement has to be taken.
A configuration of these described values is available in Pacer PRO.
