🔐 Accessibility Service Usage (Required for App Blocking)
To reliably block apps and enforce your active profile, Switchly uses Android’s Accessibility Service API.

Why it’s needed
Switchly uses Accessibility Service to:
• Detect which app is currently in the foreground (so blocked apps can be stopped immediately)
• Apply your active blocking rules consistently when switching apps
• Show a blocking screen / send you back when a blocked app is opened

What Switchly does NOT do
• It does not read your messages, typed text, passwords, or screen content
• It does not record audio
• It does not collect or sell personal data
• It does not share your data with third parties

All blocking and profile logic runs locally on your device.

You can disable the Accessibility Service at any time in Android Settings.
(Without it, profile switching and automation may still work, but app blocking cannot be enforced reliably.)

Phenomenal free alternative to Brick! I use the QR code function and I rarely even scan it to "un-switch" my phone. I have gone from 4-6 hours of screen time per day to 2-3, and I am slowly increasing my restrictions. Yesterday I had 53 minutes of screen time, and 40 of them were while I was using a digital shopping list at the grocery store. This app works wonders!

I sincerely apologize to the developer for my previous review; Turns out I was generating the codes incorrectly! (You can generate codes for different purposes: enable app blocking, disable, etc.) Now that I've figured that out, I LOVE this app! Works perfectly. Thank you so much for making it, and also for the prompt reply :) I'm going to go ahead and recommend this tool to my friends as well

Awesome app! Paid for the premium version so I could use WiFi-based scheduling and it's really changed my phone usage, I can block most apps while I'm at home in my room but have them unblocked outside. My screen time so far has gone from 3-5hrs/day to 0-2hrs/day, hopefully will stay this way 😀
