About this app

Nowadays, we have tons of data stored in our mobile devices. These are our privacy, and privacy matters. Some data are considered as secret, and some worth being hidden by us like a pro.

This App can protect our privacy in two ways:
- Data hiding using steganography techniques
- Data safe-guarding using strong encryption

Please remember there might be times that we will be asked to unlock our phones without a court warrant or by force, and there are something so private in our phones and we just simply don't wanna them to be seen. There might be times that we want to pass on information to the press about injustice or wrongdoings. There might be times that we need to communicate with people who are undercover agents. So it is very important for the information staying in a stealth mode.

Everybody shares photos, and photos get synced to the cloud, so there might be possibly incidental leaks of sensitive personal data. And nobody wants that.

By using advanced steganography techniques, "Hide Like a Pro" can help achieve all above by hiding secret inside a photo, and the stego image (with secret in it) is just like other normal images, and it can be recovered later on, wherever, whenever we like. Simply put, steganography is a beautiful form of art in information hiding, and it has been practised for thousands of years. Normally encryption is used for securing data, but the trails are obvious, and it can easily draw attentions too. Steghiding is a perfect way for avoiding detection of even existence of sensitive data.

Also, cloaking is fun. Share a stego image with your friends, and see if they can figure it out the hidden message inside it.

For that, the App particularly requires the following permissions:
- Read / write external storage (SD card) for storing stego data
- Camera, for directly saving the taken photo(s) into the secured vault.
- Contacts, for sending encrypted or stego data to your family or friends
- Others. We are working on keeping improving the App, so more new features will be added. Any newly required permission will be explained here later on.

Furthermore, no personal data will ever be stored in our server; some anonymized data could be used for analysis for improving the App performance and data safety.

PLEASE NOTE:
- After the App is installed, please look for the App with a name - "HiLAP" as we intend to keep the App low profiled.
- In some cases it is not a good idea to share the stego image with an instant message App or other tools that might resize / change the file, therefore you could risk losing all the data you have in it.
- All your data in the safe vault will be lost, if you uninstall App.
