Does the basic things you expect of a weather app well, without obtrusive ads. The layout is nice. Allows you to easily search for different towns as well, which is helpful for planning outings. Could benefit by having an option for adding on F conversions for those adjusting or travelling; as is, any in that situation will have to memorise the numbers to convert manually. Also, easily viewed current humidity+dew point would be cool.

Its pretty good but still has isues. At 3pm 22/2/24, the app said it was 25.6 degrees at Bellbrae, 3228. I know for a fact that it was 38 degrees in the shade on our deck. I have noticed this temperature discrepancy before. Also when I tried leaving feedback on my iPhone, the keyboard obscures part of the screen and I couldn't see what I was writing. Finally, I have asked about barometric pressure but that must be too hard for BOM.

Still has all the info as the old app albeit laid out differently, but where the old app loaded instantly the new version takes around 10-15seconds to load. It mighnt seem like much but its a huge step backwards to what it was. The popup for rain radar is annoying amd manages to cover future temps when you load up forcing you to scroll instead of seeing everything on one page. It needs to be a seperate window like it used to be. I think ill be looking for another app now.

Thank you for the feedback regarding your experience. The previous release was built in 2016 and we've had to implement this update to meet evolving technology requirements. This release has been developed to improve overall user experience and was guided by community engagement and customer feedback.

What's new

This release enables coastal hazard warnings and notifications. They alert you to dangerous surf and abnormally high tides. You're already subscribed if you get our severe weather warnings. You can opt out if coastal hazards don't matter to you.
