Outstanding app for being free. This is far and away the best free weather app I've come across over the past several years. And I've tried just about all of them. Weather Underground makes The Weather Channel and WeatherBug look bad. Only thing that would make it better is a more accurate, detailed, and up to the minute radar. But I can't expect that from a free app, you'll pay $10 for an app that detailed. But the movement of the radar could be a bit smoother. Other than that, great job WU! Keep up the good work!
This is my new favorite! Update 72016: One recent glitch, which was right in the middle of a storm. otherwise this app is perfect. One of the few I pay extra for! Update for 5.0.2: Glad you went back to the standard map view. I'd give this a 6 if I could. Awesome! 5.0: I loved the old version, so was nervous when the app was completely redone. No worries, though.. It is awesome! Love the Material design. Love the intuitive layout. Love being ad free for a couple bucks a year!
Good for local weather It is incredibly good forocal weather in our small town. I appreciate the local radar as our national weather service forecast for our area is over 100 miles away. However, I will say that sometimes the forecasted temperature is way off. With the mega heat wave in Ohio, the forecast has been for 87, thenater that afternoon it's recording 93 degrees.
Really Nice App I like it. One of the main parts I use is the radar widget. The systems interface is incredibly accurate. Shows storms rolling in and you can look up in the sky and see the same storm. This weather group has come a long ways and are one of the top ones out there now. Started using their softwares because of the flexibility and accuracy across operating systems and platforms. From Windows or Linux (api) at home to Android while mobile to the personal weather station hardwares. These guys are the best.
Lots of info in one spot Weather is pretty accurate, though it would be nice if all the weather tools like severe weather mapping and air quality etc were available for non American locations. Picks up weather Canada warnings and alerts, which most apps don't, though it would be nice to see them on the notification bar. Overall, much more available in a single click in comparison to other apps. New style/layout interesting, miss the pictorial weather icon on the notification bar.
Don't hesitate I would recommend this weather app over all others. The fact that it uses private weather stations from peoples homes makes for pretty accurate weather readings. Global weather follower? No problem, I can see what the weather is like in Cape Town, South Africa with just one click. And lastly I'm obsessed with the satellite immaging on the maps. Give it a spin.
- Is the glass half full or half empty? No need for philosophy. Look at our forecast graph, complete with forecasted accumulation of rain and snow.
- The radar widget's map looks less like something you'd find under your couch. The new map is clearer, more legible, topographically informative, and no longer looks like clip art from the '90s.
- Bugs have been reduced, security and performance has been improved. As yet, no updates on our search for the meaning of life.
