Wunderground Ap keeps me informed The original and still the best. Have been a Wunderground fan since the early days (remember dial-up?) and have come to make them a part of my daily routine, as I live in the Midwest. This Ap is great, easy to use and customizable. When the temps are dropping, the thunder is rumbling, or the wind is coming up, Wunderground is my first click. Update: September 2016: Ap is even better now with new Android integration features for Nougat. Remains my go to source for anything weather related.
Station change issue It will hang, and not allow a station change, will say station deleted if you try to force it to a different one or it will keep showing the old stations data. However an easy fix and seems to not be an issue. As far as weather app this is a great one for us weather nerds, find a station as close to you as possible and know your weather not just what the local news says which let's face it they don't really get it that right....
Love the new app! This is now the absolute best weather app and service! Hands down, period. To make it literally perfect you need just one small thing. Add a dark nondescript map background with white state, county, and street/highway lines. So we can focus on the WX and not all the "noise" in the background. Get that done and I'll buy you all a round. 🍻
Wunderground is the best out of any other weather provider. I have yet to find a better weather app and website than Weather Underground. I've been using it for years on both computer and mobile and the data it provides far outclasses any other app available, even the NWS and NOAA website. I would definitely consider it a must have. If you're just trying to predict tomorrow's outfit (shorts vs pants or hoodie vs t-shirt) or if you want to track weather fronts and predict storm paths for a flight, Weather Underground is the best pick for sure.
Very good information This has excellent forecasts and very informative radar showing temps, fronts, satellite, etc. All at once if desired. The animated radar is not as good as I would like, but I also use the "MyRadar" app for detailed animated radar display. I have used Weather Underground forecasts on PC since the 90s, but recent changes to this app have made me drop others in favor of this one. I do recommend this site, and this app. as an amateur meteorologist, they do well.
Best weather app for local I've tried many weather apps including all the usual suspects, but WU offers a feature I haven't seen anywhere else. The data for temp, wind and precipitation come from a weather station only a half mile away. Their use of a grid of pc based personal weather stations means you know exactly what's going on in your neighborhood, not just the nearest city. Plus the integration of a whole pile of other data is very well done. I'd give it six stars if I could, and have happily paid for the ad free version.
