AudioCast turns your Android phone into a wireless speaker for your computer.
Pair the free AudioCast sender app on your PC with this receiver and route any audio playing on your computer — music, video calls, games, system sounds — straight to your phone over your local Wi-Fi network. No cables, no Bluetooth pairing, no extra hardware.
— FEATURES —
• Wireless audio over Wi-Fi
Discoverable on your local network the moment both apps are running. Tap your computer's name on the phone, or your phone's name in the desktop app, and you're connected.
• Multiple latency modes
Pick the playback profile that fits what you're doing — relaxed Music
listening, everyday Normal playback, or tight Game-grade A/V sync.
Switch any time from Settings.
• Pause media on disconnect (optional)
When you tap Disconnect, your PC can automatically pause whatever's playing — useful when you're stepping away. Toggle it from Settings.
• Stays out of your way
The desktop sender lives quietly in the menu bar / system tray. Blue when connected, neutral when idle.
• No accounts, no cloud
Audio never leaves your Wi-Fi. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is tracked. Open source on the desktop side.
— HOW IT WORKS —
1. Install the free AudioCast desktop app on your PC. macOS is supported today; Windows is on the roadmap. On Mac, the fastest way is via Homebrew:
brew tap jobtools/tap
brew install --cask audiocast
Or grab the .zip from the GitHub Releases page and drop AudioCast.app
into /Applications.
2. Install AudioCast on your Android phone from Google Play.
3. Make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network.
4. The phone's name shows up in the desktop app — tap to start streaming.
— REQUIREMENTS —
• Android 8.0 (Oreo) or later
• A computer running the AudioCast desktop sender:
– macOS 12 (Monterey) or later — supported today
– Windows — coming soon
• Both devices on the same Wi-Fi network
— PRIVACY —
AudioCast streams audio directly from your computer to your phone over your
local network. We don't run servers and we don't collect personal data
ourselves.
