The biggest issue is the lack of communication. Paused Discord invites so people can't see any updates. No updates through here or the app. Removing voice calls without explanation. Random errors in appearing when they didn't appear before. It is disgraceful that they are unwilling to communicate to the people that are the reason this app was successful to begin with.

Installed the app to leave a review. There are not a lot of characters because not a lot of people are using the app. There are no ads, so they have to decide on what to update with what money they get from subs. Memory depends on the model. If you want a character, then make it. Learn to write, or if you refuse because you're lazy, then ask ChatGPT or something to spit out a character background, scenario, dialogue and just drop it in and go crazy. Ta da. Better than PolyBuzz or Emochi by far.

I've loved Backyard and used it very often for the last year or so, and I've recommended it to so many people because of the anonymity and freedom given, but we're slowly losing the things I loved most about it and I'm absolutely heartbroken. The fact they're also cutting updates for the PC app is just horrible, I sincerely hope they reconsider and return to the things that originally made it great but I don't have a lot of hope. I'll probably go elsewhere :(
