About this app

Count every bounce and better understand your basketball training sessions with BounceSense.

BounceSense estimates how many times a basketball hits the ground using sound, device motion, or a combination of both. Place your phone safely near your training area, choose a detection mode, and start your session.

BOUNCE DETECTION MODES

Sound Detection
Uses microphone sound-level peaks during an active session to detect possible basketball impacts.

Motion Detection
Uses device motion and vibration signals when the phone is placed on a suitable stable surface near the training area.

Hybrid Detection
Combines sound and motion signals to help reduce false detections.

CUSTOMIZE DETECTION

BounceSense also includes calibration tools that help adapt detection to your phone, floor surface, and training environment.

LOCAL DATA

BounceSense does not require registration, login, or a user account.

Session history, bounce counts, calibration values, language, theme, and detection settings are stored locally on your device.

PRIVACY

Microphone access is used only during active Sound or Hybrid sessions. Audio signals are processed for bounce detection, and BounceSense does not intentionally save full microphone recordings.

Motion-sensor signals are used during active Motion or Hybrid sessions. Motion monitoring stops when a session is paused, stopped, or the application moves to the background.

BounceSense uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Advertising, consent, and privacy options may vary depending on your region.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Bounce detection is an estimate and cannot guarantee a perfect count.

Results may be affected by background noise, nearby impacts, floor type, device position, phone case, distance from the basketball, microphone quality, motion-sensor sensitivity, and hardware differences.

Always place your phone safely outside the playing area. Protect it from basketball impacts, falls, moisture, and other possible damage.

An internet connection is required to access the main BounceSense application experience.
