How high can you hear?
HearCheck plays rising tones, from 8 kHz up to 20 kHz, and finds the highest pitch you can still hear. It then estimates your "hearing age" from published averages on high-frequency hearing.
It takes less than two minutes.
HOW IT WORKS
• Put on headphones and set a comfortable volume with a reference tone.
• For each tone, tap "I can hear it" or "I can't hear it".
• See the highest pitch you heard and your estimated hearing age.
WHAT ELSE
• A history of your results, so you can see how it changes over time. Delete any of them whenever you want.
• Share your result with friends.
• Light and dark themes. English and Portuguese.
• Volume is capped and the same for every tone, with tips to listen safely.
TRULY PRIVATE
No account, no sign-up and no microphone. The app only plays sounds and never records anything. Your results stay on your phone and are never sent anywhere. The test works even without internet.
The app is free and supported by ads. There are never ads during the test.
