Right Critter is a logic puzzle for your phone, in portrait mode, with 3D toy animals from Brazil: scarlet macaw, capybara, pink river dolphin, giant anteater, jaguar, toucan, maned wolf and golden lion tamarin.
The grid is split into colored regions. Place one critter in every region, one in every row and one in every column, and never let two critters touch, not even diagonally. Every level has exactly one solution and can be solved by pure thinking: you never have to guess.
HOW IT PLAYS
• Tap a cell: the first tap makes an X (no critter here), the second tap places the critter, the third tap clears it. Two quick taps place the critter right away.
• Grids from 4×4 up to 9×9.
• Undo as many times as you like, free.
• Errors flash red when two critters clash (you can turn this off in Settings).
• A hint that explains why: the game highlights the region, row or column behind the conclusion and writes the reasoning in one sentence. It costs 10 coins; you start with 30. If a critter or an X is in the wrong place, the hint tells you for free.
• Patterns drawn on every region, besides color, for players who have trouble telling colors apart (Settings).
WHAT YOU GET
• A 64-level campaign in 8 chapters, each with a Brazilian animal and a biome: Amazon, Pantanal wetlands, Rio Negro, Cerrado, deep forest, mountains, southern fields and the Atlantic Forest. The last level of every chapter is a boss.
• Stars on every level: 1 for winning, plus 1 for winning with no hints, plus 1 for at most 2 wrong critters.
• Daily challenge: the same grid for everybody, one a day, with a streak counter and a spoiler-free text to share.
• Quick game in three sizes, with a new grid every time.
• Daily reward with a 7-day calendar.
• 14 achievements to collect.
• Your game is saved after every move: close it and pick up later.
• Light, dark or automatic theme.
• No sign-up, no login. Works offline, no internet needed.
• English, Portuguese and Spanish.
• Optional sound and vibration.
ABOUT ADS
• No full-screen ads in the first levels. After that, now and then, one when you leave the victory screen (never in the middle of a game), sometimes a short image-only one.
• A discreet banner at the bottom of the menus; never during a game.
• Optional ads that you choose to watch, to earn coins, a hint or to double your victory reward.
If you like sudoku, logic, brain games and grid puzzles, Right Critter is a nice way to pass the time: short levels, real reasoning and friendly animals from Brazil.
