Given the importance of this app, I'm shocked that it's so bad. Notifications don't always work, or are delayed. The display of wildfires is primitive, showing only the most basic information. And there's a variety of design issues, such as the map view refusing to use the full height of my phone (pixel 6) at times. Time for a more modern version please.

This app is terrible but it's really the only option. If you check latest news it gives you tweets from 2021. About half the times you open it it doesn't show the fire orders and fire alerts. No satellite hot spots. No wind directions or predictions. Not real time the info is updated but not regular enough. If your life depends on it go with your gut not the app. The people of BC require a better tool to be as prepared as possible for fire.

An outstanding source of very timely information! I would give 5 🌟 s if (on the Android version anyway) touching a notification WHILE you already have the app open in a background window took me to the new fire, it does not. It just takes me to where I happen to have the map open. And, of course, the notification is not persistent so I have no idea where the new fire is. With so many a day in my area, it's very likely I have the app open already... 😕
