Browse at your own pace. There's no swipe gesture — you scroll, you read, and you tap Connect when someone is actually worth your time.
To send a first message, you verify: your profile photo matched against a selfie, about thirty seconds, once. Both people have to have done it before a message can move in either direction. It's the only bar to clear, and it's the reason there's nobody here to catfish you.
Say what you're here for
Intent is a hard filter on who you see and who sees you — long-term, casual, friends, activity partner, open. It's never hidden and it's never for sale. Someone planning a wedding doesn't turn up in front of someone planning a Tuesday, and both of them are better off for it.
Modes are the free dial for the Plans you post: Serious, See where it goes, Friends, Casual. All four are free and none of them will ever be a purchase.
Plans
Post the thing you actually want to do — drinks Thursday, a walk this weekend, a show next month — and let people reply to that instead of to your photos. Plans can be public, private, or anonymous. It beats "hey".
What we won't do
We don't sell visibility. Paying doesn't move you up anyone's feed, because there is no boost here that works by burying someone else, no ELO and no desirability score.
There's no subscription either. The Wylf Card costs $9.99 once and stays yours. The free tier isn't a trial: verification, browsing, Connect, conversations once you're verified, seeing who replied to your Plans, read receipts, blocking, reporting and the in-app safety centre are all free permanently. Safety will never sit behind a paywall.
