About this app

bsns.SSH is a fast, modern SSH, Mosh, and SFTP client that is free with no catch. No ads, no accounts, no telemetry. We support hardware backed keys and cross device sync. The only network connections the app makes are to the servers you choose. Released under GPLv3 with source available here: https://github.com/bsnscc/bsns-ssh

KEYS, DONE RIGHT
• Hardware-backed keys in the Android Keystore — non-extractable by design.
• An optional biometric-protected key that requires a fingerprint or face for every signature.
• FIDO2 security keys (sk-ecdsa) over NFC or USB-C — the private key never leaves the token.
• Smart card / PIV tokens over NFC or USB-C, producing a standard ecdsa-sha2-nistp256 key every server accepts.
• Software keys (Ed25519, ECDSA, RSA), encrypted at rest, with import and encrypted cross-device sync.
• An in-process SSH agent — keys are used through the agent, so they never touch the transport layer.

• Multi-session tabs, interactive search, and deep scrollback.
• A customizable hardware-keyboard layout and a control-key bar.
• Mosh support: your session survives Wi-Fi hops, cellular drops, and device sleep.

FULL SFTP FILE MANAGEMENT
• Browse, upload, and download files — and entire folders, recursively.
• Rename, move, delete, create folders, and change permissions (chmod).
• Streams large files in fixed-size chunks, so a big transfer won't exhaust memory.

• No account. No sign-up. No telemetry, analytics, or crash reporting that phones home.
• The app makes no network connections other than to the SSH/Mosh hosts you enter.
• Encrypted config sync uses storage you control and only ever sees ciphertext.
• Open source — so you can verify all of the above.

Built on a current, supported crypto stack (OpenSSL 3.5 + libssh2 1.11), compiled from pinned source.
